The 1788-CN2DN linking device from Allen-Bradley is an industrial Controlnet to Devicenet linking device in the 1788 linking device series. It can be installed with a 24 Volts DC rated power supply and a mounting base that is either a DIN rail made out of yellow-chrome steel with a zinc-plate coating or another mounting base with similar specifications. The cable that the 1788-CN2DN linking device uses to connect to the Devicenet network should not be connected to the device or disconnected from it while it is powered up because this can cause a dangerous electrical arc. The 1788-CN2DN linking device connects to the Devicenet network with either a 10-pin linear connector that is included with it or with another type of linear connector that is not included such as a 5-pin linear connector or linear to micro connector.
